Playing XBox on a Weekend

Before I had my ever reliable, good old sega. I remembered how I play my favorite games like Sonic the Hedgehog and Virtual Tennis after attending classes. Now, gone are those games because XBox is now the ‘in’ thing when it comes to gaming consoles.

Playing XBox games can be very addicting because of the rush that it gives when we play these games. This can be a good alternative as well to bond with family and friends if you are looking for another way to pass the time or spend the weekend with them.

Copying Someone Else’s Post

I came across a fellow plurker’s post yesterday and she shared about something surprising. According to her, one of her posts was copied by another blogger. I am not sure if the entire post was copied and so out of curiosity I asked her for a link.

Badet gave me a link to her original post. You can click here to check out her blog post about Boys Over Flowers. While she also provided me a link to see the post of the blog that she is talking about. You can click here to see that post. But unfortunately, the post was no longer available when I checked it. Could it be that the author already deleted that post?

Finding Out About Mesothelioma

It saddens me to realize that most of the people who are at risk of contracting dreaded diseases are those who usually do not have the financial capabilities to treat such diseases or even to diagnose them.

One such disease is acquiring Mesothelioma cancer. I mention this because the majority of its victims are construction workers who toil day and night to build houses, construct roads, and put up skyscrapers. And it is not their fault that they are exposed to materials, like asbestos, that can cause this cancer. It is usually the work of inconsiderate construction companies who try to save on their expenses by making use of asbestos and other cheaper alternatives but are harmful to people’s health.

Let’s hope this activity stops or more people can get affected with this disease.

Cebu Inmate’s Tribute to Michael Jackson

The Michael Jackson ‘viral’ thing continues to spread even at the most unexpected places. If you recall my last post about Michael Jackson’s death, I included some selected comments on Twitter that mirrors how some people think about his sudden passing.

Now, even the Cebu inmates in the Philippines paid tribute to the King of Pop. Watch their simple tribute as they used Michael Jackson’s hits for interpretation.

This truly proves how phenomenal Michael Jackson has become. :)

Interesting Best Buy Items Online

Lately, I wanted to use some of my paypal credits to purchase some goods online. I have purchased some online goods locally and so far I am very satisfied with those transactions because the products were of quality as advertised. Another is that it proved how online transactions can be safe even for some first time customers.

Seven Tweets About Michael Jackson’s Death

michael_jackson_bad_cd_cover_1987_cddaIt is all over the news. Michael Jackson is dead. The King of Pop suddenly had his curtain call last June 25, weeks before his series of concerts, a comeback that made his fans so excited.

This news spread like wildfire both offline and online. Suddenly, a lot of people almost forgot about Farrah Fawcet’s passing and other related issues of (inter)national concern. It seems that the whole world was so into Michael Jackson who have ‘gone too soon’.

But my post isn’t going to be about some juicy details that is already in the news or in other blog posts. What I have here is the list of twitted posts about him. Here are some of their thoughts about Michael Jackson’s death on Twitter:

Scouting for Rental Homes Powered with WiFi

All online work and no play makes Jane a tired girl. :)

It might sound funny but true. Just like what I mentioned in my previous posts, I can go online for as long as I can, especially when I have to work on a lot of stuff like blogging and working for clients.

I am just making the most out of my available time today because I may have to adjust my online schedule after the wedding this December.

Be Careful What You Tweet…

…or what you post on Facebook or what you write on your blog. There are already cases of people getting fired or at least scolded because they said something that is not good about the company they were working for.

With the popularity of social networking sites and applications like Twitter, it has become so much easier to find out what other people are thinking or saying. And there is a trend that the human resources department of some companies have started to dip their feet on this phenomenon to learn more about their employees.

While we all have rants and other complaints about our jobs, I think it would be best if we keep some of the more controversial stuff within ourselves. Let us not proclaim it to the world. You’ll never know when your boss might drop by your Facebook account or your blog.

In Search for Free Adsense Ready WP Themes

I have spent all day looking for some free Adsense Ready WP Themes.

Boy, that was so much of an effort. I have been working on finding some free WP themes because I am thinking of tweaking my blog for some ‘healthy’ reasons.

Well, aside from that, I also need to get rid of some of my former layout’s challenging tasks. But I did not notice that this entire hunt is can be so much of a time consuming activity that I missed working on some blog updates. So now, I will have to do it again next week because a huge chunk of my online time today went to that template searching thing :)

Anyway, I have downloaded some of the themes files today, which is good because I can immediately try it on my blogs and make my choice right away. I only have three easy qualifications for a good blog design. The template should be clean, free and adsense ready. Its that simple. :)

How about you? What are your non-negotiables when looking for a blog theme?
